thisisarchitecture.blogspot.com is a new blog I just created. It is basically a blog about architecture, obviously from a architecture degree student point of view. I know there are so many architecture blogs out there, but I'm still going to make one anyway. It's just me sharing my opinions about architecture and hopefully getting some feedback on it too.
So what is architecture?
According to wikipedia, Architecture is both the process and product of planning, designing and construction.
In my opinion, well, it's what wikipedia said.
My lecturer once ask me what is good architecture?
I thought about it, that was a very good question. In my opinion, a good architecture is a building designed in a way that it not only solve the users need, but it also don't minimal harm to the surroundings. That I think is good architecture. Definitely would love to hear what you guys think.
Now let me introduce myself. I'm an architecture student who is currently studying in Taylor University, Malaysia, doing a 3 year degree course in nonetheless architecture. The building that fancinate me the most, I have to say is Eiffel Tower in Paris.
I was fortunate to go to Paris a few years back to have a good view of Eiffel Tower. It's strange how much I love that building, maybe I was born there my past life. Anyhow, I got to study the building during my degree course.
It was built in 1889 during the industrial revolution by Gustave Eiffel. Look at the aesthetic which is so beautiful that they don't even need to decorate it. After so many years and it is still standing tall. For any of you who have not been there yet. I seriously recommend you guys!
